What we mean by modern slavery

Modern slavery includes practices such as forced labour, debt bondage, human trafficking, abusive working conditions and other forms of coercion that deprive people of their freedom. Although Portugal has high legal and institutional standards, we recognise that these practices can occur invisibly, especially in complex supply chains or vulnerable migration contexts.

What we do

• Due diligence on suppliers and partners: we regularly assess our business partners to ensure they uphold the principles of decent work.

• Confidential reporting channels: anyone can report concerns about exploitation or abuse securely and confidentially.
